Former Wasps manager joins Colbran's team.
Former East Grinstead Town manager, Simon Funnell, has got himself back in to the football world as he has joined Chipstead as assistant manager.
Funnell was the Wasps boss when they earned promotion to the Ryman League Division One South last summer, but after a poor start to the season he was relieved of the managerial helm at the GAC Stadium.
However, the former Brighton & Hove Albion forward has announced, via his Twitter account that he will be back involved in Division One South for season 2015/16 season, working alongside Simon Colbran at the High Road outfit.
Funnell said: "I'm really pleased to say I've just accepted the assistant manager's job at Chipstead. Can't wait to get started."
Colbran has already said that he has some "quality players" joining Chipstead FC for the upcoming campaign so things could be looking up for them next season.
