Well done Terry.
Young Academy player Terry Ede was handed his first team debut during Saturday's pre-season away win over Crawley Down Gatwick at Ardingly College.
Terry came on at half time and certainly impressed during his first 45 minutes for the senior side and he has previously been named as a substitute for the senior squad, however, this was the first time he's featured in a match.
Ede joined the Crows back in January last year, and this season will be representing the U18 Academy side where he will captain the side from September when the Academy year starts.
Academy coach Henry Muggeridge spoke proudly of his young prospect, "Terry certainly has got the talent to go a long way in the game. As a full back myself, I know how tricky it can be stepping up to men's football at a young age, mainly due to the physicality and lack of strength at an early age, however, he certainly didn’t look out of place on Saturday.
Personally, I think Crow fans will be seeing a lot more of him in the coming seasons".
Terry’s debut comes a week after the club being accepted into the Southern Youth League at U18 level next season, this means next seasons Academy squad will get the opportunity to play under floodlights against high standard opposition throughout the season, as well as in the Wednesday afternoon Academy league.
This is fantastic news for the club and the academy, meaning they will get the chance to test themselves against the best in the county on a weekly basis.
