Into the badger sett on Tuesday.
The Crows fly off to play Erith Town on Tuesday night at the Badger Sports Ground, Middle Park Avenue, Eltham SE9 5HT, which is the ground they share with Cray Valley (PM).
So far it's been a fortress for them this season, playing four leagues games at home, out of the seven games they've played, and they've won them all, hence the reason they are currently third in the table.
They also had a great 2-1 away win on Saturday when they travelled to play Ashford United and rather spoilt the home club's party as they celebrated the opening of their brand new 3G pitch, a pitch we'll have to play on at least twice this season as well.
However, whilst we are twelfth in the table, two home wins on successive Saturday's and a draw away at Fisher FC sandwiched in between, equates to us taking seven points out of a possible nine, therefore, we should go there full of confidence and with a desire to be the first team to lower their colours at Badger Sports Ground.
For those of you who haven't been there before, it's quite a nice ground with two stands, one on each side-line, the far stand from the entrance is all seated whilst the near stand is standing only. There's a nice clubhouse and bar area near the entrance and there's ample car parking for anyone who will be driving up to support the team.
The pitch itself does suffer with use a bit and can't handle too much rain in a short space of time, when we played there around this time of the season last year, there was plenty of sand on the pitch then. However, it's the same for both teams and the slope from the clubhouse end to the far end is quite marked but each team has the slope and it's who uses it the best will probably dictate who'll win, if there is a definitive out-come.
I personally use the A20 to get there and would allow an hours travelling time as the traffic can get a bit jammed up on the A20 around rush-hour time, plus there's plenty of speed cameras and speed limits on the road once you leave the M25.
It would be nice to see as many of you there as possible to support the players as they look to build on their recent good form.
