The Crows will be looking to put a disappointing result on Tuesday away against Tunbridge Wells FC in the SCEFL Challenge Cup 1st Leg when they take on visitors Canterbury City FC at the Community Stadium in their latest SCEFL Premier Division fixture.
City currently sit eighth in the table having played 29 games, winning 12, drawing 9 and losing 8. In those games they've scored 49 goals and concede 36, therefore their goal difference is +13 and they have amassed 45 points.
They have visited once already this season of course in the cup and we eventually ran out 3-1 winners to progress. We also ran out 1-0 winners when we last played them away in the league at the home of Deal Town FC recently in a rearranged fixture. Both of the games were competitive affairs with no quarter given or asked for and it will probably the same again for this fixture.
City have been nomads of course for a few years now, having shared with Ashford United and Deal Town since we joined the league four seasons ago and will now share with Faversham Town for the 2018/19 season. However, they hope their nomadic existence will end soon as consultations are currently being held about building a sporting up, including a stadium for City at Highland Court, which will hopefully mean they will be "home" for the 2019/20 season.
Admission is adults £8, concessions £4, U16's FREE if accompanied by a paying adult, if not, then it's £1. A full-colour 20-page programme will cost £1. The Top Nosh tea bar will be open, as well as the Crow Arms. Gates open at 1:30pm.
